Statute of Limitations Minn. Stat. Ann. § 541.07
- Two years from when the injury was discovered, or reasonably should have been discovered.
- The limitations period for injury caused by sexual abuse begins running only when a plaintiff knows or has reason to know that an injury was caused by sexual abuse. Minn. Stat. § 541.073, subd. 2(a)
Medical Malpractice
Statute of Limitations Minn. Stat. Ann. §541.07
- Two years from when the injury was discovered, or reasonably should have been discovered.
- For claims of wrongful death based on medical malpractice, the statute is three years after death, but not later than four years after the malpractice.

Wrongful Death
Statute of Limitations Minn. Stat. Ann. §573.02
- Three years from the date of death as long as the claim is filed within six years of the act causing death.
- The limitations period is subject to delay if the defendant fraudulently conceals the cause of action. Minn Stat. §573.02
