About Pintas & Mullins Law Firm’s Future Nurses Scholarship
Pintas & Mullins Law Firm advocates for the injured. Many of our clients, or their loved ones, come to us after receiving treatment in a hospital where nurses tended to them on a daily basis. We know from talking to these clients that a nurse can make the difference between a pleasant hospital experience and a nightmarish one.
Nurses carry tremendous responsibility. They not only treat and care for patients, but also advocate for them, educate, and comfort them. The vital role that nurses play in hospitals and throughout healthcare only increases in importance as the industry continues to evolve with specialized fields and new technologies. Now, more than ever, healthcare needs the support of well-educated nurses who carry a deep commitment to their profession.
This need extends beyond hospitals. Clinics, doctors’ offices, nursing homes, and public health facilities depend on our healthcare system continuing to foster tomorrow’s nurses.
Pintas & Mullins Law Firm wants to enable the nurse workforce of the future. This is why we created the Future Nurses Scholarship.
How We Will Select a Winner
Ask 10 different people to describe the “perfect nurse,” and you will likely get 10 different answers. Some may place an emphasis on intelligence. Others hold dedication or stamina as top characteristics in this profession.
We think any combination of these qualities and many other attributes come together to create the ideal nurse, but they all need one element that ties it all together: passion. The best nurses believe deeply in the value of their work. They pursue their professions with zeal and earnest. They choose this field over any other for one reason: this is the job they feel they were born to do.
As we review applications for the Future Nurses Scholarship, we will consider all the qualifications that each applicant offers. We will pay particularly close attention to each applicant’s essay—our surest way of spotting that passion we know so strongly ties to success in the field of nursing.
Types of Applicants We Hope Will Apply
Great nurses come from a diverse range of backgrounds. Where you live matters far less to us than how you live. In other words, we want to hear from people who look forward to a bright future and who drive themselves to be the best version of themselves.
Other than these ideals, we ask only that you make certain you meet the below eligibility criteria before submitting your application.
Current nurses who are looking to continue their education are also eligible to apply.
