Roundup Cancer Lawsuits
Nationwide Toxic Tort Lawyers in Chicago
Roundup is a chemical herbicide made by Monsanto and used globally to kill weeds on all types of crops. The main ingredient in Roundup, glyphosate, is the most heavily used agricultural chemical of all time. In 2015, glyphosate was also officially labeled a human carcinogen, meaning it is known to cause cancer. Because of its usage, cancer development is most likely among farmers, landscapers, garden center employees and other agricultural workers.
The toxic exposure lawyers at Pintas & Mullins Law Firm are currently accepting cases involving Roundup and glyphosate exposure. With over 50 years of collective experience and over 10,000 cases handled, our firm can capably represent your case and help you pursue a just outcome.

Scientific Links to Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Decades of evidence show that glyphosate is specifically linked to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which is cancer of the lymphatic system. In 2015, the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer released a final evaluation on glyphosate. The Agency concluded that glyphosate was probably carcinogenic to humans based on several decades of studies on agricultural and forestry workers exposed to the chemical. The Agency confirmed that glyphosate causes DNA and chromosomal damage in human cells. It also wrote that glyphosate is the most-produced herbicide in the world.
How is Someone Exposed to Roundup?
People at the highest risk of exposure are farmers and agricultural workers, but the general population is unknowingly exposed as well. The public is exposed to Roundup when it’s sprayed nearby (entering the air, soil, and water) and when consuming foods and products that have been sprayed with Roundup.
Roundup and other products containing glyphosate are commonly used on the following:
- Golf courses
During the harvest season in the Mississippi Delta region, a U.S. Geological survey found that 75% of all air and rain samples contained Roundup. In northern states, crops like wheat and barley are often sprayed with Roundup right before harvest, causing the public to consume much more of it from food. Glyphosate not only causes cellular damage itself, but also enhances the damaging effects of other chemicals and toxins in our food.
Monsanto went to great lengths to convince governments, farmers and the public that glyphosate and Roundup was safe. Sales reps would even drink Roundup during product demonstrations to convince farmers it was non-toxic. Although this is a clever marketing tactic, the chemical reactions caused by Roundup take years to manifest in the body. You cannot drink anything and immediately get cancer. People diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma are now filing lawsuits against Monsanto.
Plaintiffs claim the company is guilty of the following:
- Knowing glyphosate was dangerous since its launch in 1974
- Lying about its dangers
- Covering up studies confirming glyphosate’s link to cancer
- Lobbying governments to classify it as non-toxic
Roundup causes a cascade of cellular changes that show up years later as cancer, kidney disease, infertility, and nerve damage, among other devastating illnesses. Monsanto is currently facing at least 700 other lawsuits filed by patients diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma from exposure to the company’s PCB products.
