The Zimmer Durom Cup is an artificial hip, first released in 2006, manufactured by Zimmer Holding, Ltd. It has been implanted in over 10,000 patients during hip replacement surgery.

In 2008, a prominent orthopedic surgeon notified members of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons about problems specific to the Zimmer hip replacement components. These problems included a higher rate of loosening of the device and a higher than expected rate of revisionist surgery. Zimmer Holding, Ltd eventually investigated these concerns and concluded that the Zimmer components required a higher degree of precision during surgery. The Zimmer Durom Cup was taken off the market and re-launched months later with additional instruction and training for surgeons.
